In 1997, ShezTek began his DJ career. Due to his Miami roots, Tom began to gather a solid breaks collect. But with all the possibilities of techno, tech house and trance, Tom found himself collecting/incorporating those styles as well.
Tom entered an arduous process of developing himself as a DJ. Each DJ has his or her own style of mixing, as well as his or her unique track selections. He knew that he wanted to merge techno, trance and breaks but developing his style was another process all in itself. Tom's style is one of subtlety; it is directly focused on progression. It is a style that tries to enter the mind and then exit through the body. To gather the most for a set, one should patiently experience the whole set. It is not based on a few outstanding tracks, but on the whole mood. But why read about a style? Why not give it a listen?
