DJ Vince Carter started mixing on a rigged home EQ and 2 CD players. There were 2 separate volume knobs and 18 EQ points per channel, but no pitch. Making mixtapes from other's DJ sets on CD was not an easy thing to do, especially with the limited resources of mix CD's in 1997. Within a year he graduated to 1210's and a Radio Shack mixer. He played all over San Diego and in mid 2000 moved to the Valley. He started up Movement at the Stovepiper, and later TryX at Blarney Cove, hosting residents such as Jesse Brooks, Oscure, Steve Loria, Adrianne Sanchez, Odeed, and many more. Since those days he has played all over SoCal, always bringing the room to a roar with his infectious style of house music and blazing mixes. Not being confined to any house genre, the progression of his sets will take you from the floor to the ceiling and into heaven.
Watch out for 2x4 sets!!
