This is a mix I did in the year 2000, when funky house was at its peak! Sounds a lot better than I thought as well when I listened to this. Some super heavyweight tunes on this mix that used to get played during this era. I went off the funky house sound a couple of years after this as the quality decreased so much and Hed Kandi finally banged the last few nails in the coffin. This was a good period for house music, happy uplifting music which promoted a good club atmosphere. Saddened that 'minimal' and 'electro' house are now the order of the day.... This was mixed live on some beloved Technics 1210s so you may hear the odd nudge or slight mistake here and there! Hope you enjoy the memories, any comments or feedback - benchesters@hotmail.com
