The last four years have seen K8-e come from playing out at her first gig at ELEV8 in Portsmouth to gaining residencies for Out of Order, TXTURE, Hardnutz and most recently Hostile as well as becoming a guest regular at the mighty CyberKitten. Based on the South Coast you can catch K8-e playing around Portsmouth and Southampton with frequent appearances in Milton Keynes and Northampton and also regular missions to London, most recently playing for Frantic and Twist. Also no stranger to the West Country K8-e has played for nights like Fusion, Totally Ardcore, Hostile and U-T-I.
"Ive always had a passion for music. From as young as I can remember Id tape songs from the radio and put them altogether on mix tapes. Id know the names of all the tunes and Id be able to recognize them from the first 5 seconds pretty much. When I first started clubbing in 1999 I sort of had an inkling I would like to dj but didnt have any idea how to get started. I was always the one at the after party who sorted the playlist out on the PC or chose the CDs.
Then 4 years ago I started seeing someone who had been mixing for a while and wed go clubbing and come back and he and his mate would mix for hours. As I got into hard dance I started to learn what tunes I liked and Id be regularly asking them to play the ones I wanted to hear; in they end they suggested I learn to mix. Given Id always wanted to learn I set about watching and listening and learning. I bought my decks a few months later and havent looked back."
