Nathan Hunt is fast becoming one of the best Trance DJs in his home town of Portsmouth. Since the Trance scene in the late 90/00s with super clubs such as Slinky, Godskitchen & Gatecrasher, DJs including Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk & Judge Jules have inspired him to chase the dream of one day rubbing shoulders with the big guns & emulating his heroes.
Trance is his passion and he can play any Trance ranging from Tech-Trance to Euphoric/Uplifting to Elec Trance. During his sets you can always expect to hear a tune from yester year neatly slipped in to get the crowd rocking taking Trance back to its roots. He is constantly reading the crowd. His diversity & mixing ability will leave your ears in pure bliss.
His 1st break into the DJ scene was playing at GENETIC in 2006. From this he appeared for iLLuMIDanCe, INCENDIARY, SUBMISSION, DELUSION, HARDNATURE & PURE EMOTION in 2007.
The appearance at iLLuMIDanCe earned Nathan his first monthly residency. The promoters were so impressed with his all round professionalism, ability and self confidence they also offered him the opportunity to co-promote this event. iLLuMIDanCe became one of south's best Trance nights hosting top up and coming DJ's such as Jordan Suckley and Ben Nicky. The event also gave opportunities to new local talent to experience playing to a crowd.
2008 was a fantastic year for Nathan. He went from strength to strength playing at ELEMENTAL, WOBBLE HARD, TWISTED MAYHEM, F.U.K, DEBAUCHERY & AIRWAVE.
The biggest highlight of 2008 was featuring for RELENTLESS vs AMPLIFIED alongside one of Trance's major players in GREG DOWNEY.
During 2009 Nathan played at VISION CONTROL along side PHIL REYNOLDS and IDENTIKAL, had a guest apperance on SLINKY.FM on the CORDEROY & U4IC DJs show and supported DAVE PEARCE at the Mud Club in Bognor Regis on his Trance Anthems tour. He also continued his co-promoting and monthly residency at iLLuMIDanCe, spreading his unique blend of tech-trance to euphoric, driving sounds with great applause.
Nathan has had a very positive start to this year by winning the ELEMENTAL SOUTH COAST DJ COMPETITION which was held @ The Mud Club. A slot at the COALITION FESTIVAL over the May day bank holiday was the prize which he had deservedly won.
And with the pending introduction of his own productions, which will only develop his career, the future looks bright for Nathan.
