Circa 1985: This period of time represented hip-hop, when it was truely hip-hop... Jheri curl juice was all over the place and hip-hop was on it's course of becoming what it is today (rarely good, mostly bad...) Music was everything real... Musical influences were prevalent within all cultures,races and genders, undetermined, whether if you were wealthy or if you were surviving in the ghettos... Music belonged to everyone and everyone belonged to the music... Circa 1990: Then, jus2WAN got a taste of House Music... All Soulfulness... All Funkiness... soul, soul, funkdifizzled"... (although the underground House scene was a bit too underground at times, literally... his first underground House party was at a downtown L.A. warehouse with KRS1 from the BDP spittin' rhymes to House beats, only to be raided by the LAPD before midnight...) Circa 2005: It all started with a pair of old Stanton 8-80's and an old MTX mixer with unlimited crates of old, dusty records... to say the least, it was like getting his GreenCard all over again and this was his calling... First there were the skeptics and doubters... then came the usual, "Yo' ass needs to go practice some mo!!!!", comments and suggestions and offers for Dj/MixMaster/Ultimate Warrior, ScratchMaster lessons that were frequent... they didn't know that it wasn't to just meet women, or a scheme to come-up on some cash... nor did they have the slightest idea that jus2WAN was in love with music and everything music since day 1... In other words, he really didn't give a PHO'ck what anyone said... Within that year, with those Stanton 8-80's, countless 5am wake-up sessions and the constant dramas with the now, "ex"-girlfriend, as well as with, the determination and the passion, the ride was to begin. Music, officially now, represents this Asian Brotha's way of life, his inner soul and the developing wisdom that allows him to express it, with all due respect, along with the strive to sharing these beats with anyone and everyone is how he's livin' in the gARDEN gROOVE...
