Omar Lakhssassi has been DJing and promoting since 2000. A regular face from the Isle of Wight club scene, Omar first went clubbing at the age of 14 Sneaking into local clubs and illegal parties, he stumbled upon a world of loud music and happy people that became the inspiration for the sets he performs today.
Jade Jagger was spotted shaking her thing to him at the Isle of Wight Festival. Bestival crowned him "King of Britain's Ibiza!" and he's even been featured on BBC Radio 1's Dave Pearce Dance Anthems. Aged 29, Omar Lakhssassi is steadily making a name for himself across the nations dance floors.
Initially starting as a promoter before becoming a DJ, Omar has appeared alongside some of the UK's prolific DJ's and Producers. Axwell, Howard Donald, BK, Kutski, Dave Pearce and JFK have all been able to experience his ability and confidence at working the dance floor up to a frenzy. A local residency for Slinky and appearances for London clubbing heavyweights such as Wildchild and Smartie Partie across the capital have seen him play world famous venue's such as Turnmills, SeOne and Heaven on multiple occasions and smashing it every time.
Omar's sets incorporate a host of sounds and influences, ranging from funky house and electro through to dance anthems as well as exclusive remixes and bootlegs. Its this originality and flexibility that has cemented his status as a crowd pleaser and had led to many repeat bookings from both independent promoters and clubs.
