About DJ Samantha Lee, born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri first entered the electronic music scene in 1991 by exploring it through the eyes of a promoter and marketing director in a position she held while working to help launch a new brand of vodka in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this role, and while still a student at the University of Michigan, she had the opportunity to get to know various artists such as DJ Ro. Demonstrating an early passion for house music she got him booked playing gigs with top DJs such as Timo Mass and Paul Van Dyke. In return and recognizing her passion for house, DJ Ro encouraged her to buy her first turntables.

DJ Samantha Lee began playing at house parties and small events in the Los Angeles area. Edsel Talaro who she considers her #1 fan states, Her dedication and fresh ideas are what will set her apart from the rest. Samantha understands that with her exposure to a wide range of events and clubs, she is able to use that knowledge and put it all together when she plays in a way that will make everyone dance. She has this way of finding the best music by pure instinct. Dj Samantha Lee also feels that it is important to support fellow Djs by attending events they play at.

Passionate about her profession and truly dedicated to the music, DJ Samantha Lee sets high goals for herself in order to accelerate her skills. Moving to Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Michigan, she took a course on turntablism that helped her understand the background behind electronic music. Working for both Moonshine Records and BPM Magazine, premier companys in the independent music industry. In addition she practiced on her turntables up to eight hours a day whenever possible.

Almost immediately, Samantha Lee began playing at the Knitting Factory, Caseys, Here Bar, Deep and Star Shoes. She has also made a name for herself in the corporate world playing for the likes of the William Morris Agency and at the PUMA retail store. These opportunities allowed her to play for diverse audiences and give her time to develop her own style of music.

Samantha continues to grow and expand her repertoire by immersing herself in the house music culture. She constantly works to perfect her style of mixing, always challenging herself to push the limits and to make her unique mark through funky tribal bangin chi-town house.
