| the world is cold and thunderous one dark day follows the next from high up in the heavens shadows fell like rain drenching me in sorrow drowning me in pain my eyes had closed before me but there's nowhere to hide in an empty world then ... just as hope seemed to fade there appeared a shelter in the distance the shelter was love the shelter was you i turned and saw a glow rising it wasn't like anything i'd ever seen spellbound, i was drawn to it and slowly gave myself to it and everything was still and as my heart stirred music lived in my breath and soared from my lips in a song of love and freely i fell faster and faster into you as i cried out to you all things became still slowly my fearing eyes widened there i stood beneath heaven's cloudy veil threatening in it's darkness i tried calling out one of its sweet songs but only bitter music bled through my lips for you and love i cry let me explain to you the nature of the universe there's only one instant and it's right now and it's eternity it's an instant in which God is posing a question and that question is basically: "do you want to be one with eternity?" and we're all saying: "no thankyou, not just yet" so time is actually just this constant saying "no" to God's invitation this is the narrative of everyone's life beyond the phenomenal differences there is but one story that's the story of moving from the "no" to the "yes" all of life is like: "no thankyou, no thankyou, no thankyou" but ultimately it's: "yes ... i give in" "yes ... i accept" "yes ... i embrace" that's the journey everyone gets to the "yes" in the end does your confidence lie in this? are you loved by all? do you imagine your sufferings will be less? because you loved the goodness and truth? What are you to me? everything in it's right place yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon everything in it's right place in it's right place right place there are two colours in my head what was that you tried to say? it's right |
